EDD in Oct'09

Dear all,
I have given birth on 06-Oct-09..
Went into hospital becos of contractions (Doc/nurses told me that if i feel pain, admit to hosptal.. Cos free days before given birth, got spotting/bleeding already)..
Reach hospital at 3am+..
Nurse check dilution ,1.5cm only..
wait n wait.. rest in delivery ward..
Water bag suddenly burst at 6.10am..
Nurse check, 2cm diluted..
Went to poop, clear bowels..
stronger contraction starts..
Opt for epidural.. It hurts when they insert the tube..
12.40pm, gynae came n check on me.. 3cm diluted only..
Put drip.. Gynae say earliest expected delivery time is 5pm..
2.15pm, Contraction even with epidural, nurse check dilution.. My god, all opened.. 10cm already..
Able to see baby's head..
Urgent call for my gynae, gynae reach hopital at 2.40pm..
Baby out with forcep by 3pm =)
He is so adorable
wailing away ....
Baby weighing at 3.45KG, Out to the world 36weeks plus =)
My bottom, pain like crazy after giving birth, headache, fever, vomited.. (Cos i secretly ate when they dont allow, cos side effect of epi is, vomit... and so, i vvomitted out all the biscults) yucks..
I have to use swimming float to sit now.. Cos swallon !!!!! Cant Sh1T oso.. Cos scare....... Haha..
Back home now, confinement!!
Nipple hurts alot from baby's sucking.. Red now.. Think my milk supply not high..
Try to pump out milk.. But i think, only manage to pump out 1 teaspoon..
Medela breastshield too small for me......
Haiz.. So today gave baby drink formula.. So sad..
Any advice from mummies here ?
Will i be able to pump out milk tmr ???
Wish that baby can continue to have breastmilk........


I tried Breast feeding this 2 days in hospital..
Today is day 3.. But my nipples are ready sore like hell..
baby still in hospital, im home already..
Tried pumping out just now, but only got 1 teaspoon of milk(As in colosum )..
Any solution?
really wish to breastfeed my baby..
Should i get a formula milk just in case ?
Just afraid that once he use milk bottle, he will reject breast feeding..
Anyway to have more supply of breast milk ?
Does it mean that i will have low supply ?
No wonder baby gets hungry so easily in hospital.... Now then i know.. not enough supply for him

congratz babymummy!! you done a good job 3.45kg baby! :Dancing_wub:

on the 3rd day your milk supply should be about 30ml thou...but don't discourage if your milk supply still lower than that. coz your baby born with extra food in his tummy for days...

i suggest you keep pumping and pumping your breast so it will increase the milk production in your body. you might wanna drink milk for nursing mommies (normally the same as for pregnant mommie's milk.

drink more warm milk also can help your milk flow.

latch on your breast to baby is better, coz sometime you might be pumping a bit of milk but if your baby suck he can drink more that tat..

i also hv medela electric pump, but i like the avent manual pump better coz it's bigger and really can pump out more than medela... wasting money huh...

if you have trouble pass your bowel coz hard you can eat more fruit.. last time i also like u scare to pass bowels haha, somemore during confinement my inlaw didn't let me eat fruit! waw...they say it's cooling... but i keep eating when they are out...otherwise then surely hv trouble go toilet coz of those heaty food i ate..haha.

hospital advice to drink prune juice.

i read from the thread tat madam rokiah live quite far from me, she's in woodlands, and i'm at tanjung katong...dunno if she want to take a long ride here..

eh do you hv her contacts? seems i can't find it there..:001_302:

maybe i will just take the massage..coz i can ask my mom to buy the complete set for post natal jamu from indonesia when she's coming here anyway cheaper there hehe.

so regret the 1st delivery i never dare to take the jamu...coz my girl have jaundice and those jamu mixture have those yellow herb...scare will make her jaundice worse if i drink it...

you're in your 39 weeks huh? anytime soon lah..just be aware for any "surprise" sign...its coming soon! who knows tonight is D-nite?! :Dancing_tongue:you never know!!!

I still hv another week to wait...still can go pasar on weekend and gai-gai on sunday haha! enjoying my last happiness outside home. but only weekend lor...weekdays dun hv anyone to accompany me out =( hehe

hahaha.. ya lor.. i also only wkends go out w hubby.. wkdays, my hubby n inlaws now dun like me go out...now i feel like gg out n eat burger king.. if not like no chance... ahahhahaha...

i just ate my McD for lunch too!

yeee i dare not drink... most jamu is apply de inside the bengkung den wrap haha.. even if can get cheap i tink i lazy apply haha...

still can go gai gai ah.. so so "fun" by my gal now already.. if i cant sell my paid trial class at UE SQ tml i have to bring her go myself... sibei sian liao

I think Malay mummies also have confinement like us. They are wrapped up tightly too.

Baby is 38 weeks now... still dun want to come out.... waiting waiting waiting.
