I am using NUK bottles. Like their cute prints on the bottle. It is anti colic too and the cap can fit into my medela bottles too. No issue with leakage so far. However the hole on the teat seems different size cos I have some teats that flow faster.

I dont have vomitting , just bloatedness... and i dont really feel tired n sleepy all the time... Tats not quite normal rite...??? Maybe the 'effect' hasnt sets in yet...

Thanx leh ... U reminded me of my unopened box of ferrero roche!!! :p

Not sure about drop in supply...
But i feel tat once i drink lesser water... I dun feel as full... So maybe is ur water intake? Smtimes too busy w baby can forget abt drinking water... Which is impt!!!!
Hahah. So are you enjoying your ferrero roche.
I just realised something today, soya bean drink also increase milk supply. I happen to drink loads of it and the supply went up. Hmmm....

Oh, so happy to read that everyone is happily tucking in to junk food like me! Helps to share the guilt around, hee hee! I think it is normal to be craving some extra calories especially if breastfeeding/expressing, just make sure that we stop eating this way when we wean baby off breastmilk!

I think mild exercise like walking should be quite safe now. I'm so tempted to get one of those cycling machines or aerobic workout / treadmill types to put at home... haha who am I kidding? Hubby thinks it will become a big white elephant and I have a feeling that he is right - lol!
I keep telling myself that tomorrow I will go exercise, then when tomorrow comes...I will have all sort of excuses not to exercise. Sigh. So you really buying the exercise machine? Hmm.....

Regarding the milk bottles. I am using AVENT. 3 years back when I was using AVENT bottles, they were good but now when I am using them for my 2nd child, it seems to leak...I really wonder why.
Seems like many recommend NUK, I am tempted to buy and other good reviews of milk bottles?

I brought my girl to my mum's place alone. Super pai seh, she cried in e bus. Afterall not too bad, been to vivo, northpoint, jurong point and plaza sing. Usually is go out alone to meet friends outside.

Think sling is better than pram, always pushing empty pram ard.

Anyone has started night train your baby? My girl is still waking up every 2-3 hourly.. How about you mummies?

Today drove with baby in the car seat, alone with her for the first time. At first was worried that she would fuss, but thankfully she fell asleep and slept all the way for the 30 minute journey! It's frustrating that we can't put the infant car seat in front; I can't see her from my driver's seat at all, even if I place her seat behind the passenger's seat. When she sleeps and not making any sound, dunno whether to feel safe or not!

MummyK: not really night training but just trying to stretch her last feed as late as possible - if she takes her bottle after 10.30pm, she will normally be able to sleep til around 6am. If she takes it earlier than 10pm, she will wake around 4plus. But then my girl is on alternate formula and ebm so the routine may be different if you're on total breastfeeding. How about the other mummies' experiences?

Haven't come in for awhile n wa~so many pages to catch up...

Just went to pedi n doc says he hears murmurs in baby's heart. Causes could be due to blood vessels flowing through heart, or could be holes in valves or heart. Arranged for us to bring to KK for scan with heart specialist...so worried...sobz* hope everything will be fine with baby.

Just only laid down my worries for a failed hearing test taken at birth, she has now passed the test at 3rd testing, n now this problem surfaces. Being a parent is really tough :tno:

Planning to put baby in infant care from second month onwards but now wondering if I should postpone awhile later as she may be too vulnerable at this stage for any viruses circulating around. What do u mummies think? Should I postpone or not? Any mummies putting baby in infant care too?

I'm using Avent n so far did not face any leaking problems at all. Heard recent batches have solved leaking problems...old batches did indeed have this problem.

Are all mummies still on teat stage 1 for newborn? When to change to teat stage 2?

So far, my baby can't sleep all the way to 6 plus even when last feed is after 10.30pm. She will wake up at least once in the middle of the nite for her feed. Lucky you nightingale tat your baby can sleep through the night.

Hey LittleWorm, hang in there - the checks may turn out fine so don't worry too much ok? Let's hope Janelle is okay and that the next round of tests will bring good news to you. *hugs*

If worried about the increased exposure to viruses at infant care, another option you may want to consider is to leave her with a nanny instead? I'll be doing that when I return to work in January, we're paying $600 a month for a nanny who will be looking after just my girl alone. The plan is to transfer her to childcare when she turns 18 months. Even thinking about it now, I'm feeling a surge of separation anxiety... haha! Don't know if I will bear to part with her or not when the time comes!

My girl will wake up twice in the night. I think she's drinking a bit too little at 8 weeks. 100mls EBM during day FM for night which she always did not finish.

Planning to put her to infant care once I return work also. But the fees are not very cheap either. Still considering.

Nope... I think they are still too young to train them... So far my gal is also waking up 2-3 hrly for feeds... And luckily so far 98% of the times she doesnt need help to fall back into slp... To me if she needs food in the middle of the night bcos shes hungry... I dun min as long as she goes straight back to slp.... Though im tired, I still think to feed n grow is very impt for these young ones now....

But then again every baby is unique i guess...

Nightingale!!! Cheyanne slps from 1030 to 6??? Wow! Im amazed! Wat is ur before bedtime routine like? Wat do u feed her with on her last feed? Ebm? Bm? Fm?
Btw, she slps thru the night u too??? U dun need to wake up n pump?
Smtimes 3 hrs after feed i start leaking milk... Like automatic.. Hahaha...

Thanks so much for your concern...sure pray the tests goes well.

So you will be putting Cheyenne to a nanny...u mean u be bringing her bk only over the weekends? Wa I think will be hard to separate with our lil one as they really light up our life now...probably will hv sleepless nights initially keke...

I thought of a nanny too but it's so difficult to find a gd one that can b trusted n without looking after other children as well...found no one then who could recommend round my area that's why decided to go to infant care. Did someone recommend this nanny to you? How did u justify that she's good...u went over to her hse before deciding on her?? Today my colleague just spoke abt a potential nanny to me...but am not sure how to ascertain if she's gd or not. Heard it will cost $700 plus so what u are paying is really worth it ;-)

Hey, u can use CDA to pay for most infant care. I hv booked a place with Cherie Hearts n total cost though it's $1800+, but with govt subsidies, only need to pay abt $800 plus, n this can use CDA to pay so again govt pays half of that so my monthly cost will round up to be ard $400+ which is quite affordable.
