    For me, I discovered that using my Carry-B baby carrier works. At first, my husband didn't believe me... until one day our baby was having very bad colic and most of the usual pacifying methods (hand carry, sing lullaby, etc) did not work.     I agree with stonston that too clean can backfire. Don't worry about newborn catching germs etc because they are tougher than you think! Even more so if you are breastfeeding, they will have a strong immune system to fight off whatever germs around.

    I didn't clean the ears too because the doctor say no need. After some time, my baby's ears become dark brown with dirt! So now I use a wet cloth and wipe the ears, but I don't dig inside the ear.

    Depends on the chore that I am doing. If it is simple things like vacumming or washing then I will use the baby carrier. If it is something that could be a danger to my baby like cooking, I will use the play pen.
